The following is a partial list of Revolutionary War Patriots and Soldiers who are buried in Randolph County, West Virginia. We will periodically add to this list as we verify and document the service and burials of Revolutionary War Patriots in Randolph County, West Virginia.
These Revolutionary War Patriots and Soldiers were either American soldiers, or provided Patriotic Service to the American cause during the American Revolutionary War.
It should be noted that some Patriot headstones and markers may incorrectly list them them as soldiers when they were not a soldier, or lists them as serving with the wrong military unit when they actually served in a different military unit. We will make note of any known discrepancies on each Patriot’s page.

Edward Hart – he served as a Private in New Jersey; he was a son of John Hart, a Signer of the Declaration of Independence

Michael Isner – he provided Patriotic Service to the American cause by furnishing rations
Abraham Kittle – he served as a Lieutenant in the 6th Battalion, Northampton Co PA Militia

Nicholas Marstiller – he served as a Lieutenant and Captain in the Northampton County PA Militia
John Rowan – he served as a Corporal in the 8th Company of the 1st MD Regiment
John Ryan – he served as a Private in MD under Captains Abraham Johnson, Josiah Swearinger, Daniel Richardson
Jacob Stalnaker – He provided Patriotic Service to the American cause by providing material aid
Valentine Stalnaker – He provided Patriotic Service to the American cause by furnishing supplies
Sylvester Ward – He served as a Captain in the 8th and 12th Regiments of the VA Continental Line
Matthew Whitman – He served as a Private in VA under Captains Gray and Cunningham
